As a part of a large tour with Guild Wars 2 developers, eurogamer published today an exclusive interview with Randall Price, senior vice president at ArenaNet. They talked about companies goals, from short-terms to long-terms plans:
- The short-term plans started with pre-purchase program and beta weekends
- The medium-term goals include patches that will come out post-release of the game
- The long-term plans include a number of the high-level features and expansion content for years to come
“Look, even from our standpoint we’ve got years of work, of great work, that players are going to be able to enjoy. We’re launching a service – you don’t launch a box and be done with it. We have years of awesome, fun work ahead of us.” – said Price.
