Martin Kerstein, ArenaNet’s Head of Global Community, posted on the official GW2 forum the following explanation:
We have a team looking into disconnection problems that prevented some people from receiving their event rewards.
We will implement a solution so that people who participated will get their rewards, but this takes work on our end, so it will not happen today.
Keep an eye on our forums and social media channels, we will let you know once we have the solution in place.
Thank you, and we apologize that you were unable to claim your rewards.

And whats about people like me, able to do the event, but don’t even try to connect, because we didn’t want to suffer AGAIN the friday night HORRIBLE experience ? (constantly disconnected since 21h05, got disonnected 7-8 times in 20min, then i forfeit)
AN got time and “halloween event stress” test to see what was wrong with there event -> we fucking need “hundred” of overflow srv when there is an event.
I’d like to makes these events, but not with so bad connections issue
just do like me. i just gave up already. i expect nothing about gw2. i will uninstall it as soon as other high grahpics online games come out or GTV V comes out. gw2 service is terrible service i have ever seen in my online game life for 10 years. i can’t call the service. i can’t talk with support team. always copy and paste same answer. and they are too biased and they never listen to people. they don’t like diversity. you may say “there are too many people. they don’t have enough people to answer.” i don’t give a shit. i saw more popular and famous online games than GW2. why don’t you hire more people on support team? typical selfish lazy american game company.
Its arrogant people like you that drives people away form this game. Of course customer service is going to be crap, it is for every game, course the game is going to have issues, it came out three months ago. Maybe you should just realize that this was their first big event? Your just to arrogant and blind to see a great game when it hits you in the face.
