GW2 November Content Details
MMORPG hosted a live stream chat with ArenaNet’s Game Designer Colin Johanson about November and future updates. If you don’t have enough time to listen to the whole interview, here’s a short version written by Rytlock:
PvE
- Wintersday confirmed for December.
- November weekend one time event that will change the world and introduce the new island map.
- On the new map… a new dungeon! Really big, gets harder to farther you get in
- The new island is not a full-sized map, it’s a medium small map that will play out a storyline. Not intended for big end-game expansion. Island is meant for more fun content. The Dungeon is meant to be added to expand end-game.
- New rewards not seen before will be available on island.
- They will be adding lots of things to do (they want a good variety) at max level so you can log in and say “Oh I feel like doing X, Y, and Z today)
- Dungeon rewards are being actively worked on right now, and are also trying to make dungeons more fun to play.
GW2 The Lost Shores Teaser
ArenaNet teases players with new screenshots of mystery event that will change Tyria forever. However, we cannot get much details from the screenshots, but one thing is certain, it’s a content related to November update.

Tears of Itlaocol
The Tears of Itlaocol is a mini-dungeon found in Caledon Forest. Your first step is to defeat Veteran Hylek Chieftain. Behind the Veteran you will find three boulders and a gong. Pick up a boulder and throw it at the gong to open the door. Inside, there are several Veteran Hyleks on your path and at the end you will find stones and Tears of Itlaocol. You have to solve a puzzle by putting the tears on the rocks. Look up at the rock face above the small waterfall and you will see glowing dots. Copy the pattern of glowing dots and you will solve the puzzle. Completing the mini-dungeon will grant you the Tears of Itlaocol achievement in the explorer tab.
Beaker’s Empty Belly
Beaker’s Empty Belly Explorer Achievement takes place in Lornar’s Pass, Stonescatter Wash. Your aim is to find meat and feed Beaker.
Shadow of the Mad King ACT 4 Guide
Shadow of the Mad King ACT 4 -Attend the Party, starts at 9:00 AM PDT/16:00 GMT on October 31, and will run until November 1 (afternoon PDT/19:00 GMT). Once Phase 4 starts, the Ascent to Madness dungeon will no longer be available – but you will still be able to enter the Mad King’s realm, including the Labyrinth, the Clocktower, Reaper’s Rumble and Lunatic Inquisition.
The event will continue to run every few minutes all day long so everyone can get their hat and achievement. It seams that you have to wait ~ 40 minutes between events.
The event starts in Lion’s Arch – Grand Piazza with the game: Your Mad King says
All you have to do is to listen to Mad King and do (type) what he says. If you are not sure what to type just look at the right side of your screen (screenshot no.1). You will get achievement Attend the Party and the chest even if you missed some of his commands. Unfortunately, you can be disconnected from the server during the event, and you’ll have to wait for a new event to start in order to get your rewards!.
GW2 November update scheduled for November 15th
According to Martin Kerstein, ArenaNet’s Head of Global Community, big Guild Wars 2 November update will start on November 15th. There will be content that will be in the game prior to that, leading up to the event.

Free World Transfers Limited to Once Every 7 Days
Martin Kerstein, Head of Global Community, posted on the official forum additional explanation about changes that will affect the world transfers.
Due to community concerns about the effect of free transfers on world versus world, starting on November 1 we are going to change how often players are allowed to transfer worlds. After the update, players will be able to transfer worlds once every 7 days instead of once every 24 hours. We are also actively working on getting the guesting functionality in place. Thank you for your understanding.
GW2 Shadow of the Mad King Ascent to Madness ACT 3 guide
Shadow of the Mad King ACT 3 – Ascent to Madness, starts on October 28th, at 12:00 PM PT/19:00 GMT. You can participate in this event even if you haven’t finished ACT 1 and ACT 2.
A lot of people cannot participate in the event. If you have 19:9:18:1614:101 Error, try to log in again.
The beautiful lion statue in Lion’s Arch has shattered, and in its place, there is now a portal to the Mad King’s realm. Steel yourself if you decide to enter this nightmarish world of madness and mirth where heroes battle to keep the Mad King locked away and harmless.
