New level 80 area called Southsun Cove has been released onto Guild Wars 2 players and we are enjoying in the exploration of the new content. Along the way we are doing what we’re best known for and that is filling in the map of Southsun Cove with POIs, Waypoints, Events and all that other good stuff we are used to doing with Guild Wars 2 lands. You can find the Southsun Cove map here, but keep in mind that this is work in progress and that more things will be added to the map as we find them and upload them.
You should also know that there are two new jumping puzzles in Southsun Cove and we have already produced a screenshots guide to one of them – Skipping Stones Jumping Puzzle. We’re doing the second one as we’ll update this post as we publish it on the site.

The Lost Shores Phase 2 starts in Lion’s Arch. Use the Sanctum Harbor Waypoint. NPC Southsun Cove Transport Facilitator is marked with white sails on the map.
The NPC will transport you to the Southsun Cove land. You can chose between two waypoints: Lion Point or Pride Point. The group event starts the moment you enter the map.
The steps you need to finish if you want to participate in the Phase 2:
Here are the Phase 1 steps that you need to make sure you completed before Phase 2 starts:
Talk to Inspector Ellen Kiel in the Grand Piazza of Lion’s Arch
Examine the wreckage on the shore in Lion’s Arch west of Sanctum Harbor waypoint
Return to Kiel with the soggy bag
Talk to Consortium Subdirector Blingg at the new Consortium Gift Shop point of interest, northwest of Fort Marriner in Lion’s Arch
*Receive the map fragment. *
The subsequent steps of Phase 1 can be finished after Phase 2
Defeat Noll and his bodyguards (this is currently bugged and we’ll push a fix for that later)
Find Canach in Garenhoff
Defeat Canach (this NPC is currently on a timer)
Return to Kiel for your reward.
Other dynamic events are not required for completing Phase 1….

2a. Break the shaman’s bubble to stop the ritual before the captives are sacrificed.

Fractals of the Mists is the first dynamic dungeon in Guild Wars 2. It is comprised of a series of mini dungeons called fractals. Each time you start your adventure in the Fractals of the Mists you will be assigned three random fractals with bonus “boss fractal” at the end. Every time you re-visit the hub, the dungeon scales up in difficulty and becomes more rewarding. Fractals is also the place where you will be able to earn the new Ascended items and Infusions.
The entrance to the Fractals of the Mists is located in Lion’s Arch at a new Asura Gate.
The mail More information and our thanks sends you to three locations: Caledon Forest, Metrica Province, Kessex Hills.
Stormwreck Deeps – Caledon Forest
You will need to rescue her in an event if she isn’t present. You must jog her memory with items that remind her of home. There will be objects scattered on the seafloor, including Driftwood, Seaweed, and Sea Urchin Meat. You will need to give one piece of the following three in any order: Seaweed, sea urchin meat and a scallop. (don’t give her driftwood) and she will give you a magic scroll.
The event starts after receiving the mail which sends you to talk to Ellen Kiel in LA Grand Piazza.
1. Go on western beaches of Lion’s Arch from the Diverse Ledges to the Moran Memorial and examine wreckage
2. Examine Jetsam, Broken Cargo Container, Ruptured Cargo Barrel
The event starts after receiving the mail Additional Karka Attacks.
1. Go to Caledon Forest and find Warden Lochlain
There is also event to kill young karka (help him with this event), which starts next to Warden Lochlain, so he can be dead when you find him!
2. Finish the event: Drive the invading karka out of Morgan’s Spiral.
I finished this event but it seams to be bugged as well. The NPC will tell you that this was the first time that he saw karkas and that he believes that he know his names from his dream.
